Over the centuries, this special flower has captivated many people. "Tulipes Noires" is a new edition of Gien's 19th century collection. The French manufactory has tried to translate the traditional tulip motif, which was already famous at the court of King Louis XIV, into a modern way.

Faience is a fine, porous kind of ceramics which is covered in a glaze. This represents a thousand-year-old art of porcelain manufacturing which was taken up by the Gien factory in the year 1821.
