How We Work

Defining the Brief

The White House journey begins with a conversation, and preferably a meeting, to discuss your project in broad terms, your ideas in terms of style, timings and budget. We would also try to establish what you expect of us and give you our initial thoughts for the next steps.

Project Management

We will appoint a project manager who will be your permanent point of contact and who will always be available for meetings and presentations.

Personalised Presentations

Personalised Presentations

Our next step is to prepare digital presentations of our ideas following our initial meeting, with options, for your consideration. These presentations will include bespoke items which our design team will create and show as digital renderings. We feel it is important at an early stage for you to confirm that we are moving in the right direction and if necessary we will make adjustments to the presentation to reflect your comments.

Concept, design and sampling

We will then immediately begin refining our presentations, ensuring always perfect product co-ordination. At this point, if requested, we will prepare detailed Bills of Quantity and we will also begin gathering samples in support of the presentations. As this process continues, we will be in contact with our manufacturers of branded products and the factories and craftspeople who will produce any bespoke items to ensure that manufacturing and supply is possible within your timeframe. There will inevitably be discussions concerning cost at this stage which may lead to the substitution of some specific items in the quotation. We prefer that this happens now rather than on submission of our detailed final Quotation.

Quotation

Once you have given outline approval to the samples and costs, we will prepare a detailed and comprehensive quotation. After final adjustments this document will form the basis of the contract, payment terms and delivery schedule. If you wish to proceed we will ask for a confirmed order backed by an advance payment, which is normally 50% of the project value depending on the products involved.

Ordering

Our procurement department works closely with your project manager and our design team to ensure that all product details are correct before ordering. In the case of bespoke products, the ordering process will often require a visit to the factory or craftspeople to demonstrate the specific details of the product and discuss any technical issues that may arise. This is all part of the service and is non-chargeable.

Quality Control, Packing & Delivery

All products pass through our warehouse in Chessington, Surrey, where our final quality control checks are performed. We will then pack your order in the most convenient way for you - usually grouped on a room-by-room basis for ease of unpacking. We always provide a detailed Packing List which cross-refers to the final Quotation. Our logistics people will arrange delivery in accordance with your instructions.

After-Sales Support

We will always be available for any support you may require whether it be a query concerning product maintenance or re-ordering. We archive our presentations, drawings and templates so we are able to retrieve details of your previous orders if required.

This process is designed for maximum efficiency and to provide you with as seamless an experience as possible. We will strive to liaise with you throughout without becoming intrusive.
